Relations of Morphologic Variables and Balance and Flexibility of 7th Grade Girlsmorfoloških varijabli i ravnoteže i fleksibilnosti kod učenica sedmog razreda

Morphological characteristics of girls at the senior school age are different and due theese differences frequently comes to differences in motoric behavior and resolution of motoric movements. This study examined the relationship of morphological variables and balance and flexibility at 67 girls 7th grade of primary school. Independent variables were: body height, forearm and lower-leg circumference, body mass, upper arm, stomach and back skinfold. Dependent variables were test for measurement of balance: standing on one leg with closed eyes and tests for measurement of flexibility: deep forward bend on the bench and spagat test. Data were processed by correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. On the basis score on lower-leg circumference was possible to predict pupils' results in terms of flexibility tests. At the examined age, in girls, morphological variables were not significant predictors of balance ability and standing on one leg with closed eyes as test of balance.
